Sally Bean is an Ethicist & Policy Advisory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto’s Joint Centre for Bioethics. Sally earned a B.A. in Philosophy & English, an M.A. in Bioethics and Public Policy and a law degree, juris doctorate (J.D.). After law school, Sally completed a two year fellowship in Clinical & Organizational Ethics through the University of Toronto’s Joint Centre for Bioethics. She previously worked as a Clinical & Research Ethicist for two years in a split role with Sunnybrook’s Clinical Studies Resource Centre before beginning in her current role. Sally has presented at national and international conferences, serves as a peer reviewer on several journals and has published peer-reviewed articles. Her specific areas of interest include organizational and research ethics and the intersection of law & ethics.
