Joining Emory in 2011 as director of vascular and endovascular surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital, Dr. Rajani has expanded the endovascular capability of the hospitals trauma service to treat vascular trauma and blunt aortic injury. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan, did his general surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic, his surgical critical care residency and trauma fellowship at Emory, and completed his vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. Having obtained his RPVI degree and being a member of the National Ultrasound Faculty of the American College of Surgeons, he is interested in continuing to expand the role of ultrasound in peripheral vascular assessment. Recently Dr. Rajani initiated a multi-disciplinary monthly endovascular conference at Grady to share best practices and to establish common treatment protocols regardless of specialty service.
