Dr. Zhang received her Ph.D. in North Dakota State University in US in 2015 and B.S. in Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in China in 2010. She continued her postdoctoral research in immuno-oncology at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2015. Her research activities focus on the epigenetic mechanisms of anti-cancer drug resistance and response in prostate cancer and colon cancer; whole genome-wide epigenetic modifications in mastocytosis disease and related clonal mast cell disorders; and novel forensic identification method of metabolites of major alkaloids of aconitum. Dr. Zhang has published multiple articles on top-ranked international peer-review journals, such as Gastroenterology, Cell Death and Disease and Molecular Cancer Therapy. She has authored nearly 20 peer-reviewed and under-reviewed research articles and served as an editor/ reviewer for over 20 medical research journals and committees.
Epigenetic Mechanisms Regulating Cancer Growth and Apoptosis, focuses on the epigenetic action and regulation by novel oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes, and tumor-suppressing microRNAs. Targeting the Epigenetic Mechanisms for Cancer Therapy to improve the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy and develop new strategies to track down and eliminate cancer metastasis. Identifying Whole Genome-Wide Epigenetic Modifications to distinguish the subvariety of mastocytosis to guide the individual precision treatment of mastocytosis and related clonal mast cell disorders
