Dr. Pedro E. Saucedo is presently woking as a biologist in Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas. He has completed his DSc in 2001 form Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas del Noroeste (CIBNOR), La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. He is SNI Level 2 member of NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL OF MEXICO. Experience in development and management of aquaculture projects.
Experience in training personnel in aquaculture practices.
Good knowledge of the design and operation of aquaculture systems and the cultivation requirements of bivalve mollusks.
Experience with conventional histological, histochemical, and biochemical techniques, as well as digital image analysis used in reproductive studies.
Wide experience in culturing marine and freshwater mollusks for the production of half pearls, round pearls and keshi pearls.
Aquaculture of bivalve mollusks, with emphasis on hatchery rearing of larvae and spat
Reproductive physiology of bivalve mollusks, with emphasis on the relation between gamete quality and larval viability
