Dr. Parisa Badiee was born in Tehran, Iran in 1963 and my specialty is medical mycology. Presently, I am working at Clinical Microbiology Research Center, affiliated to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, in the position of a full time associate professor of mycology.My publications in the accredited PubMed and ISI journals amount to 39. In addition, I have written two chapters in the published books entitledPost-Cardiac Surgery Fungal Endocarditis, Special Topics in Cardiac Surgery 2012, Published by InTech,and Invasive fungal infections in Immunocompromised patients: preventation,diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Parisa Badiee major research interests focus on the studies that could prove helpful to the well being and clinical status of the patients with fungal infections.To this end, investigations into molecular and serological diagnostic methods for systemic infections, identification of the isolated strains and determination of respective sensitivity patterns to the conventional antifungals, treatment management and follow up through therapeutic drug monitoring, altogether constitute my current academic activities.
