Biography
Dr. Paolo Visca received his PhD in Medical Microbiology at the University of Pisa IT in 1988. He is presently employed as Professor of Microbiology at Department of Biology University Roma, Italy.

Genetic determinats of antibioitic resistance in pathogenic bacteria and evolution of resistance plasmids.
Physiology of bacterial responses to environmental stimuli.
Global regulation of gene expression in prokaryotes.
Iron uptake systems and their regulation in gram-negative bacteria.
Molecular identification and epidemiological typing of gram-negative bacteria.
