Nada M. Mostafa
Professor, Department of Pharmacognosy
Ain Shams University, Egypt
Nada M. Mostafa has completed her M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacognosy) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She is the chairman of quality assurance team for academic staff standards. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Her researches focus on isolation of bioactive natural compounds and their structural elucidation by different spectroscopic techniques; GC-MS analyses of essential oils and their chemometric applications; standardization, quality control analyses and biological investigation of natural products; nano-formulation of essential oils and/or natural compounds and drug discovery via in-silico molecular modeling techniques. Mostafa NM has 18 international publications with more than 98 citations and has attended and/ or participated in 7 conferences and a number of workshops. She is a reviewer for 5 international journals and she is a member in the research project (Drug Discovery and Development Research), Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University funded by STDF grants for centers of scientific excellence (STDF-CSE); additionally she was a research investigator in the research project (Phytochemical study of Egyptian medicinal plants which have a protective effect of the liver) funded by Ain Shams University. She has received Ain Shams awards for international publication for several successive years.
