Muhammad Saiedullah (ORCID iD 0000-0002-7827-1981) achieved his BSc (Hons) and MSc in Biochemistry from the department of Biochemistry, Dhaka University and awarded MPhil in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dhaka University. He has gained knowledge in Laboratory Medicine while working as a Senior Scientific Officer in NDN, NHN, BIHS (1999 to 2013). He is responsible for class room teaching of undergraduate, post graduate diploma, MS program in BIHS and he supervises MS thesis work. He is also involved in research activities in the areas of Clinical Biochemistry and published 37 original articles in national and international journals. He presented various research works in national and international scientific seminars and conferences. M Saiedullah is now working as Assistant Professor and Head in the department of Physiology and Molecular Biology, BUHS and coordinates different academic programs.
1. Role of oxidative stress on glucose intolerance in subjects with intermediate hyperglycemia.
2. Genetic and Biochemical basis of dyslipidemia in Bangladeshi population.
3. Role of high mobility group box1 protein, tumor necrosis factor α, vaspin, oxidative stress in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
4. Trend of beta cell dysfunction, oxidative stress markers from first degree relatives of type 2 diabetic subjects to type 2 diabetic subjects through intermediate hyperglycemia.
