Dr. Mouaz Al-Mallah received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his training in the USA at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Al-Mallah is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and at King Saud bin Abdul Aziz University in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia. Since July 2010, he is a Consultant Cardiologist and Division Head, Cardiac Imaging at King Abdul-Aziz Cardiac Center, National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh Saudia Arabia.
Dr. Al-Mallah held many leadership positions in professional cardiology and cardiac imaging societies including the board of directors of the American Society of Nuclear cardiology and the cardiovascular council of the society of nuclear medicine. He is an invited editor at multiple journals, a member of the editorial board of Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JACC imaging and European Heart Journal Cardiovascular Imaging. He serves frequently as a reviewer for multiple journals including JAMA, Circulation, JACC and others. He lectured extensively about different cardiac imaging modalities, both locally and internationally at the annual meetings of the European Society of Cardiology, American College of cardiology, American Heart Association, Society of Cardiac CT, Society of Nuclear Medicine and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Al-Mallah has more than 70 published papers and more than 120 published abstracts as well as multiple grants.
