Biography

Mingyi Wang received his M.D. degree from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences, Changchun, China, in 1988, and the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees from Peking Union Medical College and the Chinese Academy of Medicine Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1991 and 1998, respectively. He finished his postdoctoral training in cardiovascular sciences at the National Institution on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health (NIH) under Dr. E. G. Lakatta in 2003. Since then, he has been promoted to the positions of Staff Scientist and Group Leader at the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Sciences, NIA/NIH-Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He is also an adjunct assistance professor, Johns Hopkins School of Bloomberg Public Health, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.  He is mainly interested in molecular and cellular mechanisms of  cardiovascular remodeling during aging, in particular, arterial aging.
