Biography

Marta Kisielewska was born in Olsztyn, Poland in 1976. She grew up there and attended the University of Warmia and Mazury. In 2001 she achieved a master degree in Environmental Science. Hereafter she was Ph.D Student at the University and started researches concerning anaerobic digestion technologies for industrial wastewater treatment.  She got a doctor degree in 2005 by defending her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Improving technological effectiveness of anaerobic dairy wastewater treatment in UASB reactors”. She started her professional career in 2006 as Provincial Inspector in Environmental Protection and Agriculture Department in Voivod of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, but her interests have taken her back to the University (in 2006). She obtained the post in Department of Environmental Protection Engineering as technical support specialist of anaerobic processes. Since then she has gained ministerial funds for investigations referring to renewable energy production by anaerobic digestion of dairy waste and wastewater. Results of her researches are published in branch magazines and journals.

Marta Kisielewska- Research Interest includes Anaerobic Fermentation, Food Processing Wastewater Treatment, Whey Permeate,Renewable Energy, Biohydrogen Production, Dark Fermentation, Bioethanol Fermentation and Biogas.
