Dr. Lidong Qin received his B.S. in 1999 and M.S in 2002 from Jilin University China. In 2007, he received his Ph.D degree in Chemistry from Northwestern University Evanston IL. He co-invented “on-wire lithography” during his graduate research. In 2010, he completed his postdoctoral training from California Institute of Technology Pasadena CA. His current position is an assistant professor at The Methodist Hospital Research Institute, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, located at Houston Texas. His research interest is developing molecular and cellular assays to study cancer. He is also a CPRIT scholar in Texas. Dr. Qin has published about 30 peer-reviewed papers including leading authorship in journals of Science, PNAS, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Protocols, and Nature Biotechnology. He also holds about 10 issued patents.
Dr. Qin’s research interest is developing molecular and cellular assays to study cancer.
