Kenneth Maiese is Head of Translational Medicine and External Innovation, and past Professor, Chair, and Chief of Service of the Department of Neurology and Neurosciences at Rutgers. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Suma cum Laude with Distinction, was a Teagle and Grupe Scholar at Weill Cornell Medical College, and trained as a physician-scientist at the NIH. Dr. Maiese has received outstanding teaching awards and election to America\s Top Physicians, the Best of U.S. Physicians, and Top Doctors. He is a top cited author with continuous funding from multiple agencies such as the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, the Bugher Foundation, and the NIH. Dr. Maiese holds several patents, has over 350 publications and has authored 5 books. Dr. Maiese also serves as the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, or editorial board member for more than 70 journals as well as on multiple executive, technology, and scientific advisory councils.
