Kazuya Shinmura earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Medicine from Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Hamamatsu Medical Sciences Graduate School (Japan). After his works in the Biology Division, National Cancer Center Research Institute (Japan), the Pathology Department, Hamamtsu University Hospital (Japan), the 1st Department of Pathology, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine (Japan), and the Department of Cell Biology, University of Cincinnati School of Medicine (USA), he is presently serving as an Associate Professor in the 1st Department of Pathology, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine (Japan). He is a board-certified pathologist.
