Dr. Karthikeyan Ramalingam received his M.Sc, M. Phil and Ph.D. from Center of Advanced Study In Marine Biology, Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India. Currently he is post doctoral associate in the Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio, Ft. Sam Houston, TX, USA and University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, San Antonio, TX, USA. He is post-doctoral associate with over 13 years of laboratory knowledge, including academic, government, and industry projects handling experience with excellent lead, supervisory skills and a strong record of scientific accomplishments and publications. He has strong scientific background in bacteria, fungi and Actinomyces in particularly human pathogenic microbiology, environmental microbiology and dental microbiology. He is reviewer in eight high reputed and high impact factors journals and chaired a session in American Association of Dental Research conference. Recipient of 2012 Maria Yeung outstanding Postdoctoral Award and also achieved award in 2011 dental symposium held at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He received microbiological grant from Department of Defense, US Navy (Antimicrobial Nanoemulsions to Prevent Infections in the Field).
Dr. Karthikeyan Ramalingam Research Intersts includes Antimicrobial nanoemulsion formulation against Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species, Developing handheld vibrational Raman spectroscopy development for identification medically important blood born pathogens, Developing handheld ozone sterilizer development for small medical devices usage in field and war field usage and Antimicrobial metal nanoparticle development for Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species.
