Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur is currently working as a Molecular Biologist and Teaching Assistant at Aalborg University Copenhagen, Denmark. She earned her PhD and MSc degrees in Biotechnology from Thapar University Patiala, Punjab, India. Her PhD research was based on ‘Genetic regulation of biosurfactant production by bacterial isolates’. She has broad experience w.r.t. to Environmental, Molecular Microbiology and Industrial Biotechnology. She has been successful in publishing her research work in highly cited and high impact factor peer-reviewed biotechnology journals. She began her research career by working at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada for some time. Later she served as Assistant Professor for several years at various places in India while teaching graduate and postgraduate students. She also worked as a researcher at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She has been serving as the reviewer and is member of editorial board of Journal of Petroleum and Environmental Biotechnology since Nov 2012. She is also active as reviewer and is member of editorial board of Frontiers in Environmental Science. In 2014, she was selected among the ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ from 35 countries through a highly competitive process by University of Cambridge, UK.
