Dr. Ju-Kon Kim is the Professor in Department of Bioscience and Bioinformatics, Myongji University, Korea. He earned his Ph.D. at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Currently, he is the Director of BK21 program, and Adjunct Professor in Anhui Rice Research Institute, China. He has published 65 reviewed papers, and he was author of 3 book chapters. He has been teaching experience of more than 15 years. He has been serving as an editor of Plant Biotechnology Reports, Journal of Plant Biology, Plant Biotechnology International and Korean Society for Applied Biological Chemistry. He was one of the members in ASPB, Korean Society of Plant Biotechnology, Korean Society of Cell and Molecular Biology and Korean Society of Applied Biological Chemisty. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of plant biology and genomics. He organized 15 conferences. He received many awards like Hwa-Nong Award for excellence in agricultural science, Dinguished Research Awards from Korean Society of Plant Biotechnology and Myongji University.
