John Zhou is a Professor of Environmental Engineering in London South Bank University and Reader in Environmental Science at University of Sussex. He received his PhD in Water Chemistry and Treatment from the University of Manchester in 1991. He has completed his MSc in Pollution and Environmental Control from the University of Manchester in 1988 and BSc in Environmental Engineering from Xiangtan University China in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is an expert evaluator for various funding agencies including NSF EU NERC and Defra He also regularly reviews articles for a dozen journals. He is the author of over 70 peer reviewed articles.
