Dr. Adamec received his PhD at the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in 1994. From 1995 he spent several years at Yale University and Mayo Clinic as a postdoctoral fellow working on the problems of metabolic disease. From 2004 to 2010, he was a Lead Scientist and a Director of Proteomics and Metabolomics Core Facilities at Bindley Bioscience Center at Purdue University. In summer 2010, he joined the faculty of University of Nebraska – Lincoln where he currently holds the position of an Associate Professor at Department of Biochemistry.
Major interests: Oxidative stress, cancer biology, identification of biological makers, elucidation of the impact of drugs on cells/organisms and development new technologies for proteomics and metabolomics.
