Biography

Dr. Jinyi Long received his Ph.D. from the Center of Brain Computer Interface and Brain Information Processing at South China University of Technology. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the System Neuroscience Institute at University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Long’s research focuses on understanding how the brain and spinal cord control voluntary movements in healthy humans and in individuals with spinal cord injury and the development of novel therapeutic approaches (e.g., brain computer interface) for recovery of function based on the understanding of these mechanisms.
