Biography
Dr. Jeffry L Kashuk is a Director of Surgical Research and Academic Development for EmCare Acute Care Surgery, Dallas, Tx. He is the author or co-author of nearly 100 manuscripts, book chapters, and articles, with special interest in post injury coagulopathy, mechanisms of Acute Coagulopathy of Trauma, and improved technology for diagnosis and management of these disorders. He has served as senior trauma surgeon at several national institutions, including Director of Acute Care Surgery and Professor of Surgery. He is a respected lecturer, educator, and editor, and serves on the editorial board of several major journals related to trauma, acute care surgery, and blood disorders. He currently leads the research and academic development for a 10 hospital Trauma/Acute Care Surgery group based in the Southwest, with plans for continued growth and expansion.
Research Interest
Dr. Jeffry L Kashuk research interests include management and planning of hospital awareness for mass casualty events, and outcome studies in trauma and acute care surgery
