Professor Patil is presently working as a professor and principal in a constituent college of University of Mumbai. He got Ph. D. from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore, in 2012 and M.Pharm. from Bangalore University, Bangalore in 1997. He is having research interest in methods to increase bioavailability of Class II and Class III BCS drugs including Nanoparticles, microparticles and liposomes; Chronotherapeutic and site-specific delivery for optimization of drug therapy and Pulmonary delivery for optimization of antitubercular therapy. He had total 44 publications in various national and international journals and contributed a chapter on “Ionotrpic Gelation” in Text Book entitled “Hand book of Encapsulation and Controlled Release” to be published by Taylor and Francis, CRC Press. He also had total ten conference presentations in his credit. He is presently serving as a member board of studies of various Indian Universities. He is also serving as a editorial board member and reviewer for various national and international journals.
