Dr. Ioannis Delimaris is a Scientific Collaborator (Researcher) at the Center for Instruction, Research, and Technology (C.I.R.T.), Metropolitan College, Athens, Greece. He is a health professional in Greece (biologist and certified clinical biochemist) and a human nutrition researcher. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from NKUA, a master's degree in Clinical Chemistry from NKUA (grade excellent), a doctorate degree (PhD) in Medicine (Clinical Biochemistry) from NKUA (grade excellent), an annual certificate of teaching proficiency (PGCE) from ASPAITE University, Greece (grade excellent) and a post-doctorate certificate (4 years) in Human Biology and Nutrition Education from the University of Thessaly, Greece. He has trained at various Greek hospitals (General Hospital of Rhodes, 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center of Athens, University General Hospital Attikon), at the Medical School of the University of Athens (Department of Biological Chemistry) and at the National Center of Scientific Research "Demokritos", Athens, Greece (Laboratory of "DNA Repair"). He is a registered adult educator in the disciplines ''food siences & nutrition'' and ''health sciences'' at the Training and Lifelong Learning Center (TLLC) of the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece (D.U.Th.), the University of Western Macedonia, Greece (UoW), the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU). Furthermore, he is a registered college educator (Ministry of Education, Department for Private Colleges collaborating with foreign Universities). As a researcher and health professional, he has over eighty (85) research papers published in journals and conferences in the field of biomedical sciences, clinical biochemistry and nutrition. His research interests include the investigation of biological causes (parameters, characteristics) and biological mechanisms of human disease (clinical biochemistry, human nutrition, human biology), and research methods in education (health education, healthcare education, biomedical education). He has been a full (ordinary) member of the Association of Clinical Laboratory Directors, Biomedical and Clinical Laboratory Scientists (ACLDBCLS), Lemesos, Cyprus, the Greek Society of Clinical Chemistry-Clinical Biochemistry (GSCC-CB), Athens, Greece, the Italian Association of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition (ADI), Roma, Italy, and the Italian Nutritional Biologists' Association (A.B.N.I.) Padova, Italy. Moreover, he is an Editorial Board Member of thirteen (13) international biomedical and nutrition peer-reviewed journals published in the USA and one (1) educational peer-reviewed journal published in Greece.
