Biography

Dr Hussein D Foda, MD, is Professor of Medicine at the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Stony Brook State University of New York’s School of Medicine and the Director of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship program. He is also Chief of Medicine and Associate Chief of Staff for Research at Northport VA Medical Center in Northport, New York. He has previously held academic and clinical appointments at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Illinois Hospital and West Side VAMC, Chicago. Dr Foda holds specialty and sub-specialty board certifications in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease in addition to certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is licensed to practice in five US states and Egypt. He is the author of 37 peer reviewed articles and 51 abstracts and presentations at scientific meetings.
