Biography
He completed a PhD in Immunology from North Carolina State University in 2003. This was followed by a five year Post Doctoral training at the National Cancer Institute at Frederick between 2003 and 2009. He joined Texas Tech University as a faculty member in 2009 and is currently employed in this position.
Research Interest
Studying HIV pathogenesis with emphasis on the role of Env glycoprotein in bystander apoptosis induction.
HIV assembly and release, development of gene therapy vectors for HIV
Cancer gene therapy
Developing small molecule anti HIV compounds.
