Dr. Heather Kling is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2002 and her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. Prior to her current postdoctoral assignment at the University of Pittsburgh, she completed a brief postdoc at the National Institutes of Health in the National Center for Dental and Craniofacial Research. Dr. Kling’s current research projects include (1) development and evaluation of a vaccine for the pulmonary opportunistic pathogen, Pneumocystis, and (2) immunopathology of HIV infection associated with development of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
