Biography

Born in Foggia (Italy),  August 28th, 1959. Degree with laude  in Medicine and Surgery at University of Florence in 1987 and Specialization in Internal Medicine at University of Florence in 1993.

Since 1991 attending internist in the  Department of Medical Sciences, Division of Internal Medicine,  Scientific Institute and Regional General Hospital  “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza”  S.Giovanni Rotondo (FG) Italy. Associate Professor of Oncology at the School for Obstetrics at the University of Foggia from 2003 to 2005.

Since 1997 Researcher at Laboratory of Hepatology of Scientific Institute and Regional General Hospital  “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza”  S.Giovanni Rotondo (FG) Italy.

Since 1987 collaborates with the Chronobiology Laboratories, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis (USA) and with the Chronobiology Center, University of Florence, Florence (Italy).

Since 1998 collaborates as a referee with the British Journal of Cancer and Age (Journal of the American Aging Association).

Member of the International Society of Chronobiology and of the European Biological Rhythms Society.

Since 2010 Chief of the Chronobiology Unit at the Scientific Institute and Regional General Hospital  “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza”  S.Giovanni Rotondo (FG) Italy.

Research Interest

Chronobiology, genetics, oncology, immunology, endocrinology, physio-pathological mechanisms of ageing,  complex systems analysis, biological systems modeling.
