Georges Nemer
Biography
Georges Nemer has received his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Montreal in 2002. Currently he is working as Assoicate Professor in the department of biochemistry and molecular genetics at the American University of Beirut. He is responsible of the molecular core facility at the faculty of medicine since 2002, and member of both the Research committee at the faculty as well as the IRB. He is currently serving as an editorial member of the Open Journal of Genetics. He has authored more than 30 research articles/books.
Research Interest
Georges Nemer research interests are clinical to basic sciences,genetics of congenital heart disease (CHD),regulation of gene expression, mutations, molecular mechanisms involved in heart malformations, transcription factors and other genetic studies.
