Biography

Dr. Gareth E. Davies grew up in Wales. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth, UK. He then completed his Ph.D in Human Molecular Genetics from the University of Cardiff in the UK. Dr. Davies has carried out post-doctoral and fellowship appointments at the University of Oxford, the National Cancer Institute of the NIH and the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 2007 Dr Davies was appointed Scientific Director of the Avera Institute of Human Behavioral Genetics, on Sioux Falls, SD. He is also an Associate Professor at SDSU College of Pharmacy and Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Sanford School of Medicine, USD.

Research Interest

His research interests focus on the genetics of behavioral disorders and Pharmacogenomics.
