Biography

Dr Fanfan Zhou was appointed as the lecturer in the Department of Pharmacogenomics and drug development Faculty of Pharmacy The University of Sydney Australia right after she earned her PhD at Rutgers University New Jersey USA in 2008 From 2003 to 2010 she has published 9 firstauthors and 7 coauthor peer Reviewed papers and she has contributed to the book chapters on drug transporters She is the member of the American Association of Pharmaceutic Scientists AAPS and The Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists ASCEPT She is also the faculty advisor of the AAPS student chapter in the University of Sydney and serves on the committee of the Australia Chinese Association for Biomedical Sciences ACABSNSW Australia She is a reviewer of several peerreviewed journals including the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics JPET and Current Drug Metabolism

Research Interest

Study the structure-function relationships of Solute Carrier (SLC) transporters; Investigate the regulatory mechanisms of SLC transporters; Elucidate the roles of SLC transporters played in drug absorption and disposition; Identify the potential drug candidates using in vitro cell models expressing SLC transporters; Explore the Pharmacogenomics aspect of SLC transporters and their impact on drug therapies.
