Angelo Basile, researcher Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), is responsible for the researches related to Inorganic Membrane Reactors (MRs). He published more than 100 papers, and 27 invited speaker/plenary lectures and 200 papers in proceedings of International Conferences; editor of 6 scientific books and other 30 chapters on books on MRs and guest editor of 6 Special Issues; 8 patents (of which: 1 at European level and 1 worldwide level). Currently, Basile is referee for 51 international scientific journals and Member of the Editorial Board of 13 of them; Member of 3 International Associations (Int. Ass. for Hydrogen Energy; European Membrane Society and American Chemical Society). He participated to and was/is responsible of many national and international projects on membrane science and technology. Basile was the Director of the ITM-CNR during the period Dec. 2008 – May 2009.
