INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF POLYMERS, Spain
Dr. E. P. Collar, Ph. D. Industrial Chemistry, (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC, Spain), after two-years (1986-88) as CSIC's postdoc fellow and one more (1989) as Chemical Engineering Assistant Teacher at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, in 1990 she joined at the permanent CSIC's staff as Scientific Tenure. At the Polymer Science and Technology Institute (Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología de Polímeros), ICTP, she works at the Polymer Engineering Group (GIP), founded in 1982 by Dr. O. Laguna, being from 1999 the GIP's Head. Between 1990 and 2005 she has supervised six doctoral theses and five post-graduate ones, developed all along 14 research projects (public funds supported), as well as 18 private funds supported ones, and emitted 53 Technical Reports for different Companies. From 2001-2005 she served as the Technical Director of the Physical and Mechanical Properties Laboratory, LFM, and Deputy-Technical Director of the Thermal Properties Laboratory, LPT, under the successful ISO 17025 Accreditation Project for the CSIC/ICTP's Laboratories, ACiTP, commanded by the ICTP's Head. Author and co-author of more than twenty chapters on books; two, currently active industrial patents on polymer recycling ; and more than one hundred and fifty research papers mostly on SCI Journals, her research work lines** deal with polymers and environment under the general frame of Heterogeneous Materials based on Polymers. From 2006 up to now, she has participated in 3 Spanish public funds research projects and one EU public funds project under its 7th Framework Program.
