Efrosini Kalyva

Dr Kalyva is currently Senior Lecturer, Project Coordinator, Research Coordinator, and RT3 Track leader at City, International Faculty of the University of Sheffield, where she has been working for the past 9 years. Dr Kalyva has taught in the past 15 years as visiting lecturer several courses at the Institute of Education, at South Bank University, at the University of Indianapolis in Athens, at University of Macedonia and Aristotle University. Dr Kalyva has written two books on special needs education in Greek, while she has published my work in several international scientific journals and edited books. She has also translated books about autism and professional textbooks into Greek. She has delivered numerous papers in national and international conferences and she has given many professional and training workshops and seminars for students and for professionals. Dr Kalyva has appeared on TV and radio shows and she has written magazine articles for the general public. Dr Kalyva is also working as a therapist of children with special educational needs in a private centre, where she is also in charge of research. She is supervising a number of BSc and MSc projects, as well as one PhD student. She is partner in a project on violence that was funded from the European Union and she recently received another grant with another colleague from the Spanish government.
