Durgesh Kumar Tripathi is Post Doc Fellow in Center of Advanced Study in Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He obtained D. Phil from D D Pant Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory Department of Botany, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India. He is a Member of different international and national scientific societies including International Silicon Society, USA, Life Member of Institute of applied Sciences, Allahabad, India, Life Member of Trends in Biosciences, India and Trends in Life Sciences, India. He has been awarded environmental conservation award-2010 by Global Green Organization, Noida and Recognition of excellent work for environmental conservation by Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Government of India-2010. He has been a core member in 31st International Annual Conference on Plant Biology and Environment: Changing Scenario-2008. He is an active reviewer of different International Journal Repute. He has been published several research papers in high impact factor journals of International and National repute.
He studied the effect of silica and silica nanoparticles (SiNps) against the a-biotic stresses on physiological and biochemical responses such as photosynthesis, nutrient uptake of crop plants to stress factors and the synchronized detoxification of harmful reactive oxygen species by their antioxidant defense mechanisms. He has done excellent work on Laser Induced breakdown spectroscopy which in one of the most reliable, quick and eco-friendly technique. He also studied the Green synthesis of nanoparticles through spectroscopy; plant extracts etc and tests their responses on the plant metabolic systems. He is also working on the regulation of genes under the metal and metal nanoparticles.
