Dr. Douglas Blackall attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and received his medical degree in 1988. He then completed residency training in Clinical Pathology and fellowship training in Blood Banking or Transfusion Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he is the Chief of Pediatric Pathology and the Medical Director of the Blood Bank and the Clinical Laboratories at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He is also a Professor of Pathology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Blackall is the author of numerous publications focused mostly in the field of Transfusion Medicine.
