Dr. Chongxuan Liu is a chair professor at Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China, and was a chief scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA. Dr. Liu obtained Ph.D in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He is the Associated Editor of ACS Earth and Space Chemistry, and has published over 140 SCI-indexed articles with over 3800 citations and an H-index of 38. He is the fellow of Geological Society of America and the Scholar of China’s One-thousand Talent Program.
Theories in thermodynamics and kinetics in dissimilatory microbial redox reactions, transport theories for electron acceptors, donors, nutrients, and metabolic products in microbial membranes and biofilms, biotechnologies of using microorganisms to degrade chemicals and remediate contaminants in subsurface environments, and multi-phase flow, displacement, and mixing of microorganisms and contaminants in subsurface environments.
