Biography

Dr. Bente Steffansen is Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Analytical Chemistry, University of Copenhagen. Bente is internationally well known within the research area of Drug Transporters related to understanding processes of importance for Safety, Drug Delivery and Bioavailability. By August 2011 she had 58 publications Bente is the author of book chapters and patent applications as well as is the editor and author of a textbook in Molecular Biopharmaceutics from 2010. She is reviewer on several international Journals within Biopharmaceutics and Drug Delivery. She is member of the European Biosim network of excellence, AAPS, EUFEPS, CRS, and EDAN has a broad international network with in academia, authorities as well as with in industrial pharmaceutical development. Bente is the Program Director for the Pharmacy Education at the University of Copenhagen. She is a member of the Danish Chemical Committee under the National Pharmacopoiea Board.
