Biography
Barbara Rasco BSE PhD JD is a professor at Washington State University formerly a professor at the University of Washington School of Fisheries Dr Rasco received her PhD from the University of Massachusetts in 1983 and has conducted research on seafood technology food safety and aquaculture throughout her career She is a Fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists and recipient of the Elizabeth Fleming Stier Award IFT for humanitarian service Dr Rasco ihas over 150 publications in the peer reviewed literatures numerous book chapters one book and three patents She serves on the editorial board of international journals in seafood science and aquaculture and work extensively in economic development in agriculture and fisheries in developing countries
