Biography

She was born in 1951. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Hacettepe University in 1976. She completed her specialty training in Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine of Hacettepe University between 1976 and 1980. She became an associate professor in 1985 and a professor in 1991 at Cumhuriyet University. In 1993, she was selected as a member of the European Society for Pediatric Research. In 1995, she established the Pediatrics Department of the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University and Neonatology Department in 2000. Between the years 1995 and 2010, she worked as the head of Pediatrics Department of the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University. She still works as the head of Neonatology Department of the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University and has been working as the vice-rector of Kocaeli University and a representative of the Inter-University Committee since 2006.
