Aurelia Magdalena Pisoschi was born in Bucharest, Romania, on the 6th of October, 1976. She graduated in June 1999 and got her Degree in Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Bucharest. In 2001, She received the M.S. Degree in Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. She got Ph.D. Degree at the Analytical Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Bucharest in December 2009 & the PhD Thesis entitled "Analytical control methods of some food products’ quality” deals with the application of analytical methods based on electrochemical biosensors and voltammetry in the assessment of some components of foodstuffs. She work as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, in the fields Chemistry and Biochemistry. Starting with March 2011, She began teaching a course on Food Additives and Ingredients. Presently, I also work as a postdoctoral researcher in the frame of a European POSDRU Project. In 2010 and 2011, She collaborated as reviewer with the journals Talanta and Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry. She published several research articles in ISI Web of Knowledge (ISI Web of Science and ISI Master Journal List) classified journals.
Aurelia Magdalena Pisoschi research interest is represented by Electroanalytical and Spectrometrical Methods: electrochemical (amperometric and potentiometric) enzyme sensors, voltammetry (differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry), biamperometry based on the redox couple DPPH?/DPPH, UV-VIS spectrometry. These methods were used in the determination of several key compounds present in foodstuffs like sugars (glucose) and vitamins (ascorbic acid) and of the total antioxidant capacity.
