Antonio G Spagnolo is graduated in medicine and surgery in 1981. Specialized in Cardiology in 1985 and in Forensic medicine bachelor of Art in Philosophy. Full professor of Bioethics at the A Gemelli School of Medicine Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Rome and he is the present Director of the Institute of Bioethics at the same University. He is the Chairman of the Ethics Committee issued at the General Direction for Military Health DIFESAN of the Italian Ministry of Defence. Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the ASL Roma and vicepresident of the Research Ethics Committee of the Pediatric Hospital Bambino Gesù Vatican City. He is a member of Research Ethics Committee of the Istituto Dermopatico dell Immacolata IDI Rome. He is the member ex officio of the Research Ethics Committee of the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli Rome. Member of the European Association of Centers of Biomedical Ethics. He is the corresponding member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. He is author or coauthor of over 200 scientific publications Reviewer for: Bioethics Nanoethics Italian Journal of Nephrology.
