Biography
Alicia Solorzano completed her graduation in 2001 at the Instituto de Microbiología Bioquimica IMB at Salamanca University, Spain. Present I am a Research Assistant Professor at Department of Veterinary Medicine at University of Maryland. She is one of the members in ASV, ISIRV, CRWAD.
Research Interest
My current interest is the development of live-attenuated influenza vaccines against influenza. I have constructed live-attenuated vaccine strains for swine influenza and I am evaluating their potential in efficacy and protection. In addition I am also trying to understand the molecular mechanisms that make these viruses attenuated.
