Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from Government Medical College, Patiala in India. He completed internal medicine residency at Queens Hospital Center, a Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate in New York. He is board certified in internal medicine. He is currently doing fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Lahey Medical Center.
Dr. Sharma’s clinical interest includes cardiac arrhythmias, device therapy in heart failure and cardio-oncology. He has authored several publications in high impact journals and also been invited to speak at several national and international meetings.
He also has published on genetics of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy and catheter directed thrombolytic therapy for pulmonary embolism. He has served as reviewer for America College of Physician (ACP), JACC Heart Failure, JACC EP, European Journal of Heart Failure, Dynamed, American Journal of Medical Sciences and more. Dr. Sharma also served as a research fellow in Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School in the field of Resynchronization and Advanced Therapeutics. He will join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center as an assistant professor and private practice in Nashua, NH.
