His research is focused on immunology of parasitic infections. Our laboratory is interested in understanding the mechanisms of parasite invasion, immune evasion and development of inflammatory pathology during leishmaniasis. We are also interested in developing novel anti-leishmanial and/or immunomodulatory drugs for the treatment of leishmaniasis.
