Yawen Li

Biography

Dr. Li is a tenured associate professor at San Diego State University and has training and a research background in social work and behavioral sciences with research interests primarily focused on sociocultural and environmental determinants of health and health behaviors including drinking, smoking, diet, physical exercise over the life course. She has conducted research to understand individuals’ health in the context of their social environment and probes into person-environment interactions, which is important in promoting healthy behavior and sustaining good physical and mental health.
