Virus-Induced Autophagy in Innate Immunity

When a virus invades a host cell, autophagy is triggered to maintain cellular homeostasis. Virus-induced autophagy is a double-edged sword in the antiviral function of host innate immunity. Unlike apoptosis, autophagy plays a different role in cell survival or inducing cell death.
