Biography

Dr. Patrick Eberechi Akpaka is Professor of Microbiology at the University of the West Indies, West Indies. He obtained his MBBS degree from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and Doctor of Medicine degree (DM in Microbiology) from University of the West Indies, Mona Kingston Jamiaca. He is currently a Senior lecturer at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and Consultant in Microbiology with the South West Regional Health and Tobago Regional Health Authorities in Trinidad & Tobago. Dr. Patrick Eberechi Akpaka. Research interests include Molecular epidemiology of multidrug resistant bacteria, Infections of public health interests.
