Matthew J Dougherty

Biography

Dr. Dougherty received his medical degree from Harvard University. He served an additional year as the Chief Resident for the East Surgical Service before moving on to a vascular surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and has served in organizational and leadership positions in local, regional and national vascular societies. Dr. Dougherty’s clinical interests include endovascular and minimally invasive treatment for both arterial and venous disease, aneurysm surgery, as well as carotid disease, and he is recognized for his expertise in complicated hemodialysis access cases.
