Dr. Burns is a licensed psychologist and an independently licensed counselor. She works with adult and geriatric populations. She completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program at the Cleveland Clinic. During that time, she was the lead researcher on a study of iatrogenic addiction and also participated in a study comparing rates of recovery between different pain populations. During her time at Cleveland State University, she researched trauma related to 9-11
