Krasimir Ivanov

Biography

Krasimir Dimitrov Ivanov graduated from the Higher Institute of Medicine of Varna in 1986. From 1987 to 1990. He specialized in surgery (1990-1993), in oncology (2002-2005), and in health care management (2003-2005). He was postgraduate master student in business administration (2003-2005). In 1996, he successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled 'On diagnosis and surgical treatment of rectal cancer'. He was elected associate professor of surgery in 2001. Between 2004 and 2012, he was head of the Department of General and Operative Surgery at the Medical University of Varna.
